Griendling was commissioned by 1220 Exhibits of Nashville, Tennessee to design a showcase for the talents of some of Alabama's most famous and beloved musical natives.

Johnny Gruber said his company, 1220 Exhibits, selected Griendling for the AMHF project because of his unique ability to capture the individual. "We just really enjoy...his type of sculpture. It's a way of bringing life to three-dimensional pieces. It's art in every sense of the word."
-The Courier-Journal, Louisville, Kentucky

After working out the overall presentation Griendling began the sculpturing process. To assist in accuracy, the artist made reference casts of the four members of Alabama and Sonny James. Don't miss visiting the photo album page and see some very well-known individuals being cast in plaster.

Lionel Richie and Hank Williams Jr. were sculptured from reference photographs.
